POWAY, CA
The Poway Library is one of the top five County libraries in circulation, and has items checked out by over 26,000 individuals each year. Davy Architecture supported the revitalization of this facility by working with user groups to identify how spaces were used and reconfigure them to better support both the employees and library patrons. The remodel also included an enlarged children’s area, separate area for teens, an enclosed patio with a canopy of ornamental ironwork, a computer lab, homework study area, new checkout equipment, new carpeting and paint. Since lighting in the building was over 25 years old, the team also improved the lighting and installed more energy-efficient products.
Davy incorporated bring and colorful colors into the material selections, achieving a bring and modern look and feel to the popular facility.
